There are cars and then there are super cars! Travelling to the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit for the very first time, I had no idea what to expect for the two planned media days. NAIAS is basically the Super Bowl of car shows and this is when the major auto manufacturers put everything out on the table.
Here are some of the super cars that maybe one day I’ll be driving on the streets of Winnipeg in auto review article. I’m excited at one day driving the new Acura NSX Concept or the newly announced Corvette Stingray.
Acura NSX Concept
Production of this super car is scheduled to start in two years and expected to be available for sale in 2015. It’s a two seater with an all-wheel-drive hybrid mid-mount V6 engine.
Toyota Corolla Furia
Okay, I will admit that Corolla doesn’t scream “super car” but given the fanfare displayed at NAIAS, the Toyota launch of the Furia was well attended. The next generation of Corolla owners could be driving this edgy styled Furia concept.
Chevy Corvette Stingray
The Stingray is back and was by far the most popular vehicle drawing huge media and industry attention. The classic American sportscar is the 7th generation Corvette and the first model redesign since 2005.
